At this most thankful time of year, we would like to wish the entire Island Trees community a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday. Naturally, Thanksgiving means a lot more than football, pilgrims and pumpkin pie. The holiday is centered on giving thanks for all of our blessings.
However, when it comes down to it, the holiday revolves around people – family, friends, and loved ones. It’s about all of the essential people in our lives and the blessings they give us.
In Island Trees, people bless us in many different ways. To begin, we’re fortunate to work with a wonderful group of youngsters. These students enrich our lives and inspire us to be better. We are thankful for the staff members who perform their jobs with enthusiasm for both the children and community. Their commitment to the school community extends beyond the school day.
We are grateful for the work our parents do with their children and our schools. We appreciate all of the parents who place such an important emphasis on school success, as well as those who donate their time to improve our school district. Indeed, we have a lot to be thankful for.
In closing, enjoy the turkey, dressing, and pumpkin pie; but most importantly, enjoy the time and memories with your loved ones during this weekend. On behalf of the Island Trees Board of Education, we wish you and yours a very blessed Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!
