Established in 1988, the Levittown Historical Society is a nonprofit educational institution of volunteers dedicated to preserving the legacy of William J. Levitt, the world-famous suburban town he and his family built for homecoming GIs, and the rural communities that preceded it. To that end, the society maintains an open-to-the-public museum at the Levittown Memorial Education Center, hosts educational forums, and participates in community events.
