The eighth grade girls played a great game against Plainview. Kristin Duthie led the team in scoring with 17 points. Mary Dmuchowski scored 9 points. Brianna Ferrara scored 7 points. Kaitlyn Abreu, Angela Federico, Nicole Oxman and Jenna Morlock each scored 2 points. The Bulldogs faced a tough Plainedge team. Lucas Panebianco and Caleb Parada wrestled great matches and both ended up with pins. Tom Burke won his first match by pin and came back from behind to tie up his second match. Eighth graders Andres Perez and Steven Connelly won their first matches of the year by pins. The matches of the day were wrestled by Michael Ventrone who dominated his opponent and came up with a technical fall and Ed Jablonowski who came from behind to pin his opponent late in the third period. Aaron Rosenthal showed that his opponent was no match by hitting a headlock and winning by injury default.
