Brooke Rogala from Division Avenue High School in Levittown has been honored as the News 12 Long Island/Citibank Scholar Athlete of the Week, an award that recognizes significant achievements in the classroom, as well as on the playing field.
A role model at Division Avenue High School, Rogala is captain of the volleyball, basketball and lacrosse teams and has led all three to the postseason. She is also ranked first in her class of 283 students with a 99 unweighted GPA. Her SAT score of 2330 was nearly flawless. Bound for Hofstra, Rogala hopes to be a teacher one day. Notes her coach Kristy Grillo, "Brooke is always that person that the other students look up to, especially when they get to the varsity level."

This award is presented to local high school scholar athletes, in recognition of their achievements in the classroom as well as on the playing field.
