MacArthur Wrestling Team took third place last weekend at the Eastern States Invitational Tournament. Over 70 teams were invited to compete from eight states providing MacArthur with its toughest competition this year. Most impressively Sean Kempf was crowned the champion of the tournament at 112 pounds. Other place winners were at 96 Tom Manning finished fifth, 103 Alex Grant finished eighth, 145 Brian Herold finished fifth and at 160 Brandon Mulhuland finished sixth.

On Friday, Jan. 23, MacArthur's wrestling team locked up its Conference Championship. The undefeated Generals defeated an undefeated Long Beach Wrestling team. The Generals came out strong and ran away with it with a score of 48-14. Mike Malinowski at 125 in his first start this year for the General's pinned his opponent in 1.36. The Generals will defend their Nassau County title on Feb. 6-7 at the Dual Meet Championship. Logo
