Ellen Fowler, of Bethpage passed away Dec. 6, 2008. Longtime active member of St. Martin of Tours Parish and the Bethpage community. Wife of the late David T. Fowler, Jr., mother of David T. (Margaret), Kevin, Helen Landers (Louis), Daniel (Dianne), Thomas (Marie) and Ann Feminella (John), grandmother of Matthew, Liz, Tim, Jackie, Erin, Catie, Kevin, Louis, Brian, Christine, Bridget, David, Roy, Michael, Sarah, Joseph and Shannon. Also survived by four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral Mass was held Dec. 10, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. Rowehl, 92, passed away Dec. 9, 2008. Proud WWII US Navy veteran. Retired from Grumman Aerospace after 40 years of service. Husband of Lois, father of Bonnie Hodell (Eric), Bill Rowehl (Terry) and the late Deborah Madigan (Kevin), grandfather of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brother of Louis, Norman, Catherine Leis and Laura Kubernach. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. A religious service was held at the funeral home. Interment took place Dec. 14, at Calverton National Cemetery. Concetta (Kay) Berdar Nov. 11, 1919 - Nov. 28, 2008, daughter of the late Mary Valenti-Collica and Joseph Collica. Known to many as Katie, to us she was Mom. She will be remembered by all as a woman of strength, beauty, dignity, forgiveness, patience, caring, unselfish grace and wonderful sense of humor. May we all learn from her wisdom. She was able to see the good in all situations and was the strength and backbone of our family. Predeceased by her husband, Albert Berdar. Survived by her children Barbara Berdar-Turano, Linda Berdar and predeceased by sons Robert John Berdar and Dennis J. Berdar (Maryanne). Grandma to Theresa and Laura Turano, Cathy Turano-Weissenberger (Stephen), Frank I. Turano (Susy), Michele Lukasic (Rick), Danielle Sengstock (Bernhard), Christina Gigante (Huey), Tricia Dowd (Christopher), Jenefer Berdar and Robin Berdar-McNevin (James). Great-grandma to Andrew and Christian Weissenberger, Liliana and James Turano, Bernhard, Grace, Shana and John Sengstock, Huey, Brenden and Kasey Gigante, and Patrick McNevin. Sister of Carol Guglielmo (Tony), Carl Collica (Anne), and the late Virginia Vallone-Recchio (Dominick) and the late Joan Gnocchi (Louis). Aunt and Godmother to many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral Mass was held Dec. 3, at St. Kilian RC Church, with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
