Residents of the Levittown School District will soon be receiving their annual mailing from the Dollars for Scholars organization requesting a donation to the scholarship fund. This organization depends on your tax-deductible contributions. Donations are used to help students with the constantly increasing cost of higher education.
Last year two students received a $2,000 scholarship and 20 students received $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships are evenly divided between two high schools, Division Avenue and MacArthur. The winners are selected based on community service.
We want to thank Ann Tochivia of Friends Travel in Levittown who donated a trip to Breezes, Nassau, Bahamas that Levittown Dollars for Scholars raffled. Proceeds made from the raffle were $1,038, and the winner was Anthony Goss from Lee Road School.
We thank you for your support.
