LFD Mourns Member Who Died in Line of Duty
Levittown resident and volunteer firefighter Edward A. Junginger, 82, died in the line of duty on Friday, Sept. 26. As a member of Levittown's Fire Police Squad, Honorary Chief Junginger was re-routing traffic on Hempstead Turnpike when he attempted to move a vehicle on the scene and suffered a heart attack.

Levittown Schools Seeks Citizens' Budget Advisory Committee
The Levittown School Board has extended an invitation to interested residents to serve on the 2009-2010 Budget Committee. The board is eager to have members of the Levittown School District community who have a strong interest in becoming involved in the school budget process and have a desire to learn the budget process.

Wisdom Lane Boys Soccer Wins First Game
The eighth grade boys' soccer team won its first game of the year by defeating Hicksville in a thriller by a score of 2-1. Outstanding goaltending by Nick LeBright and Ernesto Stanton paved the way to victory. Enzo Jerez started the scoring with a goal five minutes into the first half.
