Donnie Klang

In 2007, Levittowner Donnie Klang was chosen among 10,000 male singers and dancers from around the county to compete on MTV's reality series Making the Band 4.

Klang then earned a spot in the top 20 and moved into a New York City apartment while competing for one of the coveted spots in hip hop mogul P. Diddy's band. All the while having his every move taped for the hit reality show.

Klang was not chosen to be part of the band. He was shocked moments later to find out he was selected by Diddy to go solo.

Now, Bad Boy Records announced the upcoming release of Just A Rolling Stone, Klang's eagerly awaited debut album. The album, which is highlighted by the new single, Take You There (Feat. P. Diddy), landed in stores and at all digital retailers on Sept. 2.

Just A Rolling Stone arrives one year after Klang received his Bad Boy solo contract from P. Diddy during the season finale of Making the Band 4.

Klang is also featured in the new season of Making the Band, which chronicles the making of the album, as well as the successful "P. Diddy and MTV Presents Making the Band 4 - The Tour," which saw Klang sharing a bill with MTB4's two no. 1 selling superstar groups, Danity Kane and Day26. It is on Tuesday's at 9 p.m. on MTV.

Just a Rolling Stone sees Klang collaborating with many famous producers including Seven (Mariah Carey, Ja Rule), Danja (Britney Spears, Madonna), Bryan-Michael Cox (Usher, Mary J. Blige), and The-Dream (Chris Brown, Rihanna). Just a Rolling Stone is executive produced by Bad Boy CEO Sean P. Diddy Combs and Bad Boy Entertainment President Harve Pierre.

"This album is sick," said Klang. "I worked with so many big time producers and they were open to my suggestions. I am so happy with the album."

Klang will herald the release of Just a Rolling Stone with a nationwide radio promo tour and is headlining Seventeen magazine's "Rock the Runway," an upcoming series of mall events featuring a fashion show, model call, and live concert. The events will hit such markets as Los Angeles, Denver, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Charlotte through November. Furthermore, Klang will be starring as the face of luxury street-style retailer DJPremium.com in their fall 2008 advertorial campaign alongside Atlantic recording artist Bayje.

While he was born in Brooklyn, Klang currently lives with his mother, Michelle, in Levittown. His father, Donald and step-mother Patty live in Suffolk County with his sisters, Jen, Nicole and Danielle.

"Without my family, friends, and loyal fans who have stuck by my side, none of this would have been possible," said Klang. "I have to sit back and pinch myself sometimes. This is so amazing. I am seeing places I would have never seen had it not been for this experience."

He said that he is dedicating this album and his career to his Uncle Ronnie, who recently passed away. "He lived in Levittown with my Aunt Phyllis and was always there for me no matter what."
