The Division Avenue Blue Dragons boys varsity lacrosse team did not qualify for the Nassau Class B playoffs for the first time since 2001. As a result of a change in the playoff format, only 12 Class B teams qualified for the postseason tournament this year.

Division played three playoff teams in their last three games and came up empty in all three games. The Dragons lost a 7-6 double overtime heartbreaker to eventual county semi-finalist Plainedge and then followed that loss with consecutive losses to Mepham and Bellmore JFK to end the season.

While the varsity finished with an overall record of 6-10 (4-6 league), the junior varsity Dragons finished the season with a 14-1 (9-1 league) record. The junior varsity's only loss was to Garden City, 10-8. Five sophomores started or played key roles on the varsity this year: Tom Duggan, Kyle Frenger, Dean Knox, Fred Mase and Cory Triola.

This year's varsity was captained by seniors Bryan Hall and Sanjay Mohan. Bryan was the team's leading scorer and an All-County Honorable Mention selection. He will continue his lacrosse career next year at Manhattan College. The defense was led by All-Conference selections Michael Andersen in goal and junior Ryan Phillips. Offensively, the team was led by Hall and All-Conference selection Brian Farley, who will continue his playing days next year at Molloy College. Senior Ryan Ramo was this year's Unsung Hero selection for his contributions on both offense and defense and senior George Woodiwiss was selected as the Red Letter Award winner for his tireless work ethic and positive attitude.
