Parents of the boys who wrestle for the Island Trees High School, Memorial Middle School and Kids Teams have banded together to form a Booster Club. The booster club is seeking donations from residents, past and present wrestlers and other alumni of Island Trees who wish to contribute to this cause. Proceeds will be used toward the purchase of a new tournament mat for the gym, which costs $10,000.

Throughout the season Island Trees hosts two tournaments. The Ted Petersen Tournament is named after a teacher and successful wrestling coach at ITHS. The second is in honor of Daniel Fuentes, an Island Trees High School graduate and wrestler who was killed in Iraq while serving in the Army.
