This season the Girls' Varsity Basketball Team at Division Avenue High School was comprised of 13 seniors and juniors and a lone sophomore, Nicolette Parmese. Although Nicki was the only real underclassman on the team it was not her first varsity experience. Nicolette was a vital part of last year's successful run to the county playoffs.

This season Nicolette's hard work took the Lady Dragons once again to the Nassau County Playoffs. Nicki led the Blue Dragons in rebounds this season as well as having nine double-doubles. Double-doubles are games in which a player goes into double figures in two categories. Nicolette had eight regular season games with double figure points as well as double figure rebounds. She also had a very impressive game in the first round of the playoffs against cross-town rival Island Trees in which she had 16 points and 13 rebounds and helped the Lady Dragons advance to the county quarterfinals against top seeded Floral Park.
