Eight Levittown Kiwanians attended the New York District of Kiwanis's Mid-Winter Conference at the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa the weekend of Feb. 22-24. At the conference, members of the club attended forums on subjects ranging from risk management to club revitalization and new fundraisers and projects. In addition, the members of the Levittown club enjoyed fellowship with hundreds of other Kiwanians from around the state. The Levittown Kiwanis Club will hold its 2nd Annual Spring Fling Craft Fair at Island Trees Memorial Middle School on Saturday March 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Funds raised will be used to send underprivileged children from the Levittown community to camp, provide food baskets to struggling families in the community and more. As of Jan. 1, the Levittown Kiwanis Club has changed its meeting schedule from every Thursday to the second and fourth Thursdays of every month.

The Levittown Kiwanis Club is a very active part of our local community. Levittown Kiwanis hosts food drives, sends underprivileged children to camp, gives scholarships, sponsors community events and more. If you are interested in learning more about this philanthropic organization and the good works the club does come to a meeting. Guests are welcome to attend. Terrific Kids is a program that provides schools with a tool to reward students for special achievements that may otherwise go unnoticed. Last year alone, the Levittown Kiwanis Club recognized 1,200 "Terrific Kids." The club has begun scheduling the Terrific Kids Programs in each of the elementary and middle schools in the Levittown and Island Trees Districts for the current school year.
