The Levittown Athletic Club will continue the 2008 spring girls softball season registration on Wednesday evenings, at 7 p.m., in the lobby of the Sparke Elementary School. They are also beginning their rating process on Wednesday, Feb. 28 and again on Wednesday, March 5. Girls in second grade through 12th grade are eligible to play LAC Softball. LAC is a chartered member of the Babe Ruth Girls Softball Association, and their girls participate in the Metro New York Championship in July, which are 8U, 10U and 12U teams. There will be free clinics on Fridays, Feb. 29, March 14 and 28 at the Island Trees Memorial Middle School for all registered girls, teaching pitching skills, hitting and fielding techniques.
