On Saturday, Dec. 15, members of both the girls Junior varsity and varsity basketball teams at Division Avenue High School participated in The Greater Long Island Runners Club Ho Ho Holiday 5K Run. The run which was held at The Old Bethpage Village Restoration raises money for the Maurer Foundation which supports research for breast cancer. Despite the cold temperatures and snow on the ground Coach Noreen Duffy and Madeline Pagano ran the race with 16 players. This is the second year that the teams have participated in this event.
