The Varsity Boys Bowlers defeated MacArthur 3-0. All bowlers had at least one game higher than a 215. Mark Munoz - 232, Ed Noblesala - 222, Mike Pellegrino - 222 and Jeff Schulman - 216. The boys JV basketball team opened up their league schedule with a win against Malverne. Both teams came out sluggish, but the Bulldogs rebounded halfway through the first quarter. The Dogs were up by six at the end of the first quarter and by five at the half. The Mules of Malverne caught up shortly into the third quarter tying it up at 41-41, but Island Trees answered back by going on a 17 to eight-run in the final quarter. The Bulldogs dominated the boards. Anthony Ciaramitaro and James Vesely grabbed 11 rebounds each and Giuseppe Ferraro had six rebounds. Bryan Verbitsky's four steals led to some easy baskets on the other end. Guards A.J. Mattia and Danny Bartlett were all over the floor defensively as well, taking charge and getting loose balls. The leading scorers for the game were Mike Witteck, who finished with 18 points and Danny Bartlett, who finished with 19. The Bulldogs are 1-1 for the season.

The eighth grade boys basketball team won a close game at Mattlin by the score of 44-42. The team came back from a three-point deficit late in the game and held on for the win. Jason Oder led all scorers with 28 points including 10 in the final period. John Huller combined his strong play with great defense and rebounding throughout the game. Jackson Young, Conor Reilly, A.J. Milack, C.J. Novak and Nick Mattia also provided key plays on both offense and defense throughout the game.

The seventh grade boysbasketball team defeated Mattlin by the score of 45-39. The team played great defense as a whole. Offensively, the team was led by T.J. O'Connell who scored eight points. Jim Carabott and Kyle Kelly each scored seven points and Tyler Spinosa, Louis Mele, Ryan Carroll and Andrew Barbine scored four points each.

A job well done goes out to the seventh grade Girls' Volleyball team on their game against Hicksville. Ashley Bourgade saved a record setting 18 points in a row during game one. Brianna Pisano, Sabrina Iadarola, Stephanie Smith, Jamie Augner and Petrina Ciaravino all played well offensively, while Katie Rice, Angela Federico and Shannon Garvey made notable defensive plays.
