It has been a great privilege for me to participate in the recent campaign for County Legislator in my bid to represent the people of the 14th Legislative District. Even though my campaign fell short by just 212 votes, I took a great deal of pride in the fact that my efforts were based on my sincere desire to improve the quality of life for the men, women and children of our local communities.

I have vowed to work hard to fulfill that pledge, and if I had been victorious I would already be hard at work addressing the issues so important to us - out-of-control taxes, out-of-control property tax assessments and a legislative majority at the Nassau County Legislature that is more concerned about maintaining a stranglehold on Nassau County politics than it is about what matters most to the people who live and work here.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the thousands of voters who supported me in this election season and most especially those dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly on my behalf. We share a common dream, that of a more affordable and safer Nassau County. I intend to continue my efforts as a fiscal and governmental watchdog until our dream is realized, and I look forward to your continued support as together, we move forward.
