The Levittown Fire Department elections will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11. Voting from 4 to 9 p.m. at Levittown Fire Headquarters, located at 120 Gardiners Ave. in Levittown. Timothy J. Courtney is running unopposed for the position of commissioner, while Vincent R. Raab is running unopposed for the treasurer position.

One candidate, Jay Cohen, is running unopposed for Wantagh Fire Commissioner. The election will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Station 1, 3470 Park Ave., in Wantagh Station 2, 844 Wantagh Ave. in Levittown, Station 3, 2529 Neptune Ave., in Seaford, Station 4, 1191 Alken Ave. in Seaford, Station 5, 2985 Merrick Road in Wantagh.

Fire commissioners hold five-year terms and treasurers hold three-year terms. All registered voters of the Wantagh and Levittown fire districts are eligible to vote for these positions. Fire commissioner is a non-salaried town-official position.
