Levittown resident Adriano Terranova, 37, was the victim of a fatal motor vehicle accident Friday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m.

According to Nassau County Police, an MSBA bus, while making a right hand turn from southbound Newbridge Road onto westbound Old Country Road, pulled into the bus stop and struck Terranova, who was on a bicycle. Terranova was pronounced dead at the scene. The 10 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident were not injured and the bus driver tested negative for alcohol.

Detectives report no apparent criminality in connection with the accident and the investigation is continuing. The bus was impounded from the accident scene for brake and safety inspections.
