The same questions were asked of both candidates running for Hempstead Town Supervisor, which is a two-year term. There is no limit to the number of terms a supervisor may serve. Incumbent Kate Murray is being challenged by Kevin Gorman. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Parent Says Man Exposed Himself to Teens Near Stokes School
According to the office of the Island Trees Superintendent, at dismissal time on Thursday, Sept. 27, a first grade parent from the Stokes School reported that she witnessed a man with a shopping cart exposing himself to two teenage girls at the intersection of Martin Street and Cardinal Road.

It has been a rough start for the Varsity Bulldogs this season. Island Trees is 0-3 with three heartbreaking losses to start the season. Each loss was by one touchdown and they occurred in the final minutes of the game. A 21-14 loss to Lynbrook started the string of hard luck.

Fees: $50 for 4-year-olds (instructional), $85 for T-Ball and Rookies (ages 5-7), $115 for Farms, Minors and Majors (ages 8-12), $165 for Senior A (ages 13-14) and $175 for Senior B (ages 15-18).
