Again we couldn't have asked for a better day. It was sunny and cool. We had 41 men play today but we only had 37 pars with Dan McCann getting 4 of them. We also had 1 birdie by Jack Prunty on the 257 yard, par 4, 5th hole. There were only 10 men that shot net par or less. The fact that the greens, from 1 through 5 were aerated recently, probably had a lot to do with the high scores. It was very hard to judge the speed and direction, especially on the longer putts.

The next tournament will be on Oct. 4.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 13 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 14 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Note: Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit the membership. The time involved to make up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
