LSWAA held Awards Night for its baseball and softball leagues on Friday, Sept. 7, at the MacArthur High School Auditorium. The children received their trophies for an outstanding year of playing baseball or softball, sportsmanship, and for developing their athletic ability.

In other news, the Levittown Seaford Wantagh Athletic Association elected a new president. LSW held its bi-annual elections in September and elected Levittown/Wantagh native Richard "Dino" Danetti as its new president. After playing Little League Baseball for LSW as a youth and graduating from MacArthur High School, Dino has been a coach, division director, and vice president of the League over the past 10 years. Dino has replaced John Krause, who has been president over the preceding four years. John was instrumental in the continued growth of youth sports and facilities in Levittown, and will continue to work with LSW in select programs. Special thanks to Lou Watts who has also decided to step down as a board member, and will also work with LSW on select projects.
