The Nassau County PAL - Levittown Unit Baton Twirlers. The Travel Team, just back from National competition in Maryland has had quite a successful year. At the Regional competition in April, these ladies received a first place, and once again at Nationals they walked away with two first place awards - an Elite Gold Medal and a Platinum Medal. They also received a special award, Reach for the Gold this was appropriate as they were competing with an Olympic hockey routine theme. Several solos took first place. Katie Salomone and Genevieve Byrne received Elite Gold Medals, Amanda Spratt and Allison-Francis Johnson received Platinum Medals, along with their first place trophies.
