LAC held its annual All-Star Games on Sunday, June 3. The first game played was the Farm Division (2nd-4th graders); girls from the seven teams were selected by their managers and coaches to represent their teams. The American League girls, managed by Kevin Grieshaber, were Kelly Cembrale, Samantha Petry, Marisol Lynch, Leanne DeMartino, Amanda Bridgwood, Taylor Grieshaber, Justine Jean, Victoria Yellon, Kim Basile, Morgan Petry, Kara Bourke, Ashley Jones, Jenna Lombardo and Michelle Spiers. The National League players, managed by Mark Bleimeyer, were Krysten Garcia, Erica Bleimeyer, Kasey Bray, Lauren Ecock, Darian Caputo, Sarah Dumont, Deanna Lupo, Ashley Melendez, Alexis Alvino, Meaghan Barbari, Megan Fischer, Alexis Haga, Brittany Vobril and Taylor Marcolini.
The opposing coaches selected the MVPs and for the American League it was Marisol Lynch, with a base hit and a home run. The National League's MVP was Lauren Ecock with a single, two walks and scored once. It was a well-played game with the National League winning by a score of 6-4.
The Minor Division, (5th-7th graders) All-Stars followed with another well-played game taking just over one hour to play the six inning game. The National League, managed by Joe Myles, and his players were Toniann Pasquaeralle, Brittany Ciaramitaro, Nicole Pellegrino, Taylor Rosenthal, Tori Tedeschi, Tyler Keegan, Kelly McQuail, Rebecca Gula, Mary Dmuchowski, Christine Ciaramitaro, Cheryl White, Kimberly Redling, Nikki Seewagen, and Kaitlyn Fischer. Chris Pasqueralle managed the American League and his players were Danielle Frantino, Briana Lombardo, Hannah Spinola, Deana Corona, Hayley Myles, Samantha Basile, Alexis Falkman, Kaitlyn Fitzsimmons, Kristin Aquila, Nicole Layne, Meghan Acton, Sarah Conway, Melanie Dudek and Gina Fader.
Taylor Rosenthal was selected as the National League MVP with one hit and three excellent pitched innings. The American League MVP was Briana Lombardo with an RBI double in the fifth inning and two innings pitched. The Nationals won the game 2-1 with both runs in the sixth inning.
The last game was the Major Division (8th-12th graders). Bill Theissen managed the American League, and his players were Alexa Sussman, Jessica Theissen, Lisa Torswick, Katie Chaput, Kirstie Cummings, Victoria DeMarco, Alyssa Ambrosio, Marti Sinisi, Samantha Trotta, Justine Abramowski, Kelly Speicher, Ashley Fechtig, Laura Piccirillo, Christina Klivan and Jennifer Abramowski. Dennis Farrell was the manager of the National League and his players were Gina DiTieri, Danielle Culen, Lina Lin, Kelly Fitzsimmons, Taylor Kenny, Lindsay Kenney, Caitlyn Goodfield, Heather Brown, Leah Gelblat, Jennifer Jean, Kaitlyn Martin, Deena Farrell, Samantha Miller, Caitlyn Tracey and Maria Ruiz. The MVPs selected in the Major Game were Kirstie Cummings and Kelly Fitzsimmons. The rain started falling lightly during this game, but it was still a close game with the American League winning 7-5.
