A memorial service for Cornelia "Connie" Francis Schenck will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19 at Holy Family Church, 5 Fordham Avenue in Hicksville. Ms. Schenck passed away Dec. 14, 2006 after a protracted illness. She was 67 years old.

Ms. Schenck was born in Queens on Jan. 17, 1939 and lived most of her life in Hicksville, where she devoted a great amount of time coaching and officiating swim meets throughout Long Island and was an instrumental part of the Levittown Swimming Association. In 2002, Ms. Schenck moved to Fairways Country Club in Orlando, FL where she enjoyed playing shuffleboard, bingo and crocheting blankets for the needy.

Ms. Schenck is survived by her husband, retired United States Army officer Stephen Joseph; children, Maureen Lollo of Massapequa and Councilman Stephen William and Doris Schenck of Oviedo, FL; and grandchildren, John and Tyler Lollo and Ethan and Emily Schenck.
