Wisdom Lane Middle School's bowling team struck gold when they went undefeated for the 2007 Winter Modified season. Both the girls and boys teams rolled over their middle school opponents from Plainview, North Shore, Westbury Roslyn and cross-town rival, Salk, during the 10 week season.

The girls' team members Michelle Fitzpatrick, Michelle Gray, Colleen O'Neill, Danielle Orlando, Shannon Humenesky, Erica Schneider and Brittany Weissman dominated their opponents, winning every game usually with an average of approximately 15 to 20 pins. The boys' team, members Ryan Billian, John Bishoff, Dan Brenner, Nick Capriola, Chris Hagen, James Launonen, Dan Maricondo, Justin Maietta, Sean Mott, Chris Pidoto, Dale Prince, Dan Skillman, Nick Sparrow and Michael Vegh, struggled throwing gutters one minute and racking up turkeys the next. Amazingly, they were able to hold on, winning every game. One bowler was quoted as saying, "Our wins may not be pretty, but they're still wins!"
