Three Seek Two Available Seats on Levittown Board
There are two incumbents and one second-time challenger running for two available trustee positions on the Levittown Board of Education. The incumbents, Gina Interdonato, current board president and a nurse at North Shore University Hospital, Roseanne Gullans, current board secretary and a Nassau County Police communications operator, are vying against Dan Bornstein, an operations manager.

Current Island Trees Board of Education Vice President Carl Bonsignore is being challenged by first-time runner, Brian Kelty in this year's election. Board President Peter Ray is running unopposed. The positions are for a three-year term and for specific seats.

Wisdom Lane's Bowling Team Strikes Gold
Wisdom Lane Middle School's bowling team struck gold when they went undefeated for the 2007 Winter Modified season. Both the girls and boys teams rolled over their middle school opponents from Plainview, North Shore, Westbury Roslyn and cross-town rival, Salk, during the 10 week season.

Registration Information
Wantagh-Seaford PAL is holding registration for the Girls Summer Fast Pitch Softball program. Eligible players for senior division are those students entering ninth through 12th grade in September 2007 and Graduating Seniors (exceptions apply). The Junior Division includes students entering 7th and 8th grades in the fall. Teams will play in July and August, mostly three times a week, during the week. There's a possibility for one double header on Sunday evening under the lights during the season.
