The Levittown Athletic Club Girls' Softball League is honored to host the 2007 Levittown/Island Trees Youth Council Softball/Baseball Opening Day Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m.

All participants of the parade will organize in the rear parking lot of the Tri-County Flea Market, beginning at 9:15 a.m. Colored balloons will identify the area for the leagues to assemble. Levittown Athletic Club by the Pink Balloons, Levittown North Baseball by the White Balloons, Levittown South Baseball by the Green Balloons, Levittown Central Baseball by the Yellow Balloons, Levittown Little League by the Orange Balloons and Island Trees Baseball by the Red Balloons.

LAC, in conjunction with the Levittown Kiwanis Club, will hold the Annual Opening Day Food Drive. All families are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to the parade. Collections boxes will be available around the staging area.

The parade will go north on Division Avenue, right on Old Farm Road, left onto Strawberry Lane, left to Cornflower Road, left on Periwinkle Road and then left on Azalea Road, ending at the LAC Softball fields.

Along with the Council President, Kevin Regan, we have invited our local politicians to our opening day ceremonies, and we invite all of the community to come and watch our children march with their leagues. LAC will play softball games immediately upon the completion of the ceremonies.

LAC would also like to thank the Nassau County Parks Department for their fantastic job in preparing the fields for the 2007 season.
