DAHS Principal Kathy Valentino, Legislator Dennis Dunne and MacArthur Principal John Bifolco.

History was made on Feb. 27, as the first ever cross-town PTSA Faculty Volleyball was held. The crowd was pumped up for what turned into a competitive, down to the wire victory for the Division Avenue Dragon faculty volleyball team.

In an effort to show that our two high schools are a united school district, the Salk/MacArthur PTSA and the Division Avenue PTSA successfully organized the game which displayed a fantastic sportsmanship and brilliant athleticism by our faculty members. Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne started things with the toss up. There were terrific diving saves, as well as fierce serves, and each game came down to a nailbiting finish.

More than 100 parents, teachers and students were on hand to support their home team. Both PTSA units would like to express their gratitude to all of the dedicated volunteers, the faculty members-especially Mr. "Z" and Mr. Avino.

A special thanks to Mr. Jose Baez who donated his professional referee services to our event.
