Island Trees Library Celebrates Charter Day
Forty years ago, Island Trees was granted a charter by New York State to establish the Island Trees Public Library. To commemorate the anniversary, the library presented Charter Day on Saturday, Jan. 27. Fun activities and enjoyable presentations occurred throughout the day as local elected officials were on hand to celebrate with Island Trees' residents.

IT Library Seeks to Fill Trustee Vacancy
The Board of Trustees of the Island Trees Public Library is currently accepting letters of application for a trustee vacancy. Service on the board will include a commitment of attendance to board meetings held once a month in the evenings and special meetings as necessary.

MacArthur Boys Basketball Heads to Playoffs
The MacArthur High School varsity boys' basketball team is headed to the playoffs after a one-year absence.

Registration Information
The Levittown Athletic Club will hold registration for the 2007 season on Wednesdays, Feb. 14 and 28 evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sparke Elementary School. Any girls in grades 2-12 are eligible to play LAC softball. LAC has three divisions, grades 2-4, 5-7 and 8-12. There will also be three free clinics in March for hitting, fielding and pitching and catching.
