At the Jan. 24 meeting of the Island Trees Board of Education, teachers and coaches received recognition for their accomplishments as follows: Graham Radcliff, Varsity Boys Soccer Coach of the Year 2006-07, League III; Damian Garcia, Varsity Wrestling Coach of the Year 2005-06, League III; Robert Paletta, Varsity Assistant Wrestling Coach of the Year, 2005-06, League III; Andrew Schneider, Varsity Girls Basketball Coach of the Year 2005-06, Conference IV; Joseph D'Auria, Varsity Boys Baseball Coach of the Year 2004-05, League 4A; Lori Christensen: Educator of Excellence, New York State English Council, 2006.
