Our organization approached the Levittown School Board with an idea. We were looking to donate a state-of-the-art turf field to the school district. After several meetings and an extensive due diligence process, a vote was taken and a decision was made. On behalf of the Levittown Seaford Wantagh Athletic Association, I would like to thank each and every Levittown School Board member for their vision and careful consideration for the children of our community.

Levittown School Board President Gina Interdonato, Vice President John Garvey, Trustee Kenneth E. Auer, Jr., Trustee James Moran, Trustee Michael D. Moriarity, Trustee Diane Shapiro and Secretary Roseann Gullens all took part in the decision to receive, as a gift, a new turf baseball/softball field located on the Seaman Neck School property. LSW will continue and maintain the new field for the LSW Baseball and Softball programs. We hope this field can be used as a test product for the School District. The use of turf fields throughout the country has proven to be cost effective, safe, and, environmentally friendly. The children of our community will benefit from this field and this decision. The field will be usable immediately after inclement weather, so we will be able to offer the children more opportunity to play ball.

Thank you again. We look forward to working together in an effort to help improve the facilities for the youth of our community.

Rich Barry

Executive Vice President

Levittown Seaford Wantagh Athletic Association
