Island Trees Athletics
The Island Trees Boys' Varsity Basketball team finished its non-league schedule with a 3-2 record. Both losses came in the finals of the Levittown Tournament in which they lost to a very good MacArthur team who will do well in the AA Conference, and to a Great Neck South team in their tournament. To get into both finals, they defeated Clarke in the Levittown Tournament and Plainview JFK in the Great Neck South Tournament. Their only non-league game which was not played as part of a tournament was against Massapequa, who they opened our season with. The score in this impressive win was 76-68 and it was led by seniors Dan Hart and Will Lopez and junior Justin Heisig.
