Terrific Kids is a program that provides schools with a tool to reward students for special achievements that may otherwise go unnoticed. The Levittown Kiwanis Club has begun scheduling the Terrific Kids Programs in each of the elementary and middle schools in the Levittown and Island Trees Districts for the current school year. The Annual Nassau County Boys' Soccer Awards Dinner was held last week with Island Trees being very well represented with seven players receiving awards. Awards given out were All Conference to Kyle Riegel, John Pascale, Nick O'Brien and Matt D'Albenzio. All County Honorable Mention went to Stephan Barea and All County to Matt Brownstone and Byron Foong. Also, Coach Radcliffe was rewarded with Conference Coach of the Year for Conference ABC III. The Levittown Athletic Club, the Premier Girls Softball League, will continue holding registration for the 2007 season on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sparke Elementary School. Any girls in grades 2-12 are eligible to play LAC softball. LAC has three divisions, grades 2-4, 5-7 and 8-12. There will also be three free clinics in March for hitting, fielding and pitching and catching. FULL STORY
