Andrew Booth is running for fire commissioner for the Levittown/Island Trees Fire District on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 4 to 9 p.m. at the Gardiner Avenue Firehouse. We feel, with his experience in the fire department, he would be a great asset as fire commissioner. Andy has 29 active years at the Levittown Fire Department, including past captain of the department, chairperson of department training committee and member of Firemen's Association State of NY. He was instrumental in training the fire department in the use of CPR and was also awarded Firefighter of the Year Award and Town of Hempstead Firematic Award.
Andy, along with his lovely wife Joyce of 39 years, has lived in the community for 32 years and has been actively involved in many community organizations. Andy is commander of the American Legion Post and on the flag etiquette committee for the Levittown/Island Trees School District, vice president of Levittown/Island Trees Property Owners Association, on the board of directors of Levittown Chamber of Commerce and a Kiwanis member on the committee for the Terrific Kids program.
As fire commissioner, he will see that our tax dollars are wisely spent. We hope you will join us and vote for Andrew Booth on Dec. 12 at the Gardiners Ave. Firehouse between 4 and 9 p.m.
