For those of us living in Island Trees, many of us do not realize that we live in the Levittown fire district and that we can vote in the elections.

The next election for fire commissioner will be at the Gardiners Avenue fire station, Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 3 to 9 p.m.

Also, many people in Island Trees do not realize that we have a terrific organization fighting to keep Levittown and Island Trees clean, safe and crime free: The Levittown Property Owners' Association.

This year, the vice president of the LPOA and longtime Levittown resident, Andy Booth is running for fire commissioner. He has pages worth of qualifications including being a U.S. veteran. And, like so many others, he's given endless hours to keep Levittown humming.

But what makes Andy Booth the top candidate for fire commissioner is that he has two intangible qualities: (1) Heart: Andy loves and is very proud of Levittown; and (2) Class, Andy will listen to your opinion and will work hard to preserve and protect your little estate in our famous town.

Again, Island Trees and Levittown residents, please, make sure you are registered and elect Andy Booth, fire commissioner. Thank you.
