At 9 a.m. on Nov. 13, there will be a reaffirmation ceremony for the Island Trees Memorial Middle School. The district plans to honor veterans who gave their lives and service to our country by returning "Memorial" to the name of the school on the Monday after Veteran's Day. All are welcome to attend the program, which will be held in front of the building.

The program will include speakers from various local veterans' associations, students from the middle school, the eighth-grade band, members of the Island Trees Board of Education and school administrators. The ceremony will be followed by a flag etiquette presentation for the fifth-grade students.
