On behalf of my family, I would like to thank the Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray, the Hempstead Town Board and the parks department for this year's memorial at Point Lookout Beach. It was a beautiful day and I cannot express the gratitude I have for asking my mom to speak at this ceremony.

As you know, part of the grieving process is to be able to share your feelings so you can cope with loss of a loved one. I truly believe this helped my mom, and my family to get through this very tough day.

The supervisor and her staff were very caring and took care of my mom considering the circumstances; so once again on behalf of the Moran family thank you for sharing this day with me and my family and making it a little easier to get through.
