The Levittown School Board recently extended an invitation to interested residents to serve on the 2007/08 Budget Committee. The voter approval of the 2006/07 budget in May 2006 continued a multi-year budget planning process which the board is eager to be understood by all residents.

The Citizens Budget Committee will begin meeting early, most likely in September. The work of the committee will focus on a thorough review of the current 2006/07 budget, a study of the multi-year budget process and its implications and an analysis of the 2007/08 budget proposals as they are developed. Interested residents should submit their name in writing to the office of the District Clerk, Levittown Public Schools, 150 Abbey La., Levittown, NY 11756, no later that Wednesday, Aug. 30.
