Nearly 5,500 runners/walkers from 175 local companies participated in this inaugural event. The beneficiaries included The Children's Medical Fund of New York and Skills Unlimited.

Kevin generously donated his honorarium to the Children's Medical Fund of New York. New York Islander's legend #23, Bobby Nystrom, was the official race starter.

The event was managed by the Greater Long Island Running Club and directed by North Seaford resident and vice president of the Club Mindy Davidson. For information about the event, please contact the Greater Long Island Running Club at 349-7649.
