This month's Spotlight on Business is Sal Panetta, owner of La Focaccia Restaurant and Pizzeria, located at 70 East Village Green, Levittown. Sal opened La Focaccia 25 years ago as a pizzeria and 12 years later expanded into a full service restaurant with a full bar.
La Focaccia Restaurant is open seven days for dinner and the pizzeria is open seven days from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sal offers off-premises catering and can supply full-service staff as required. The restaurant has a separate dining room available for private parties or organizations.
The restaurant holds a monthly Doo Wop Night and has live music on Friday and Saturday nights. There are special prices on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Sal belongs to the Levittown Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and the Knights of Columbus. He hosts the weekly Levittown Kiwanis Club meetings, Levittown Chamber of Commerce meetings, Levittown Youth Council Christmas Party and Levittown School District meetings. La Focaccia is a sponsor of Island Trees Baseball, Division Avenue Baseball, Levittown West Little League, Levittown Red Devils Football and the Levittown Athletic Club Girls Softball.
Sal came to this country from Calabria, Italy at the age of 12. He currently resides in Suffolk county where he is married and has three children ages 10, 7 and 4.
