90 Runners Take Part in Annual Event

Levittown Kiwanis hosted its 10th Annual Father's Day 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, June 18. Approximately 90 runners took part in the Father's Day Run, which is the club's biggest fundraiser. Levittown resident Carlos Castro won the race, finishing the course with an official time of 16 minutes, 24 seconds. He enjoyed the race so much he ran the route a second time before the awards were handed out. Fran Kraus-Schmidt, of Oceanside, was the top female runner, finishing the race with an official time of 22:44. The first woman from Levittown to finish was 42-year-old Suzanne Gaddis, who came in fourth place overall among the women with a time of 24:17.

The race is ably coordinated each year by Kiwanians Kevin and Joann Regan.
