After beating Wantagh the Blue Dragons made it to the county finals for the 18th time since 1979.

In game one of the County Baseball Finals, Division beat Garden City 4-1.

Junior Chris Sanabria was the winning pitcher going the distance scattering 3 hits, and striking out 5 batters.

Sean Connochie had a first inning 2 run single.

Chris Sanabria helped his own cause with 3 hits and an RBI.

In game two of the best of three series, Division found itself down 5-0 going into the bottom of the seventh inning when all of a sudden the Dragons came back to life, as junior Dan Harcher led off with a double, Sean Connochie walked, Chris Bauer walked, and then Pat Carroll doubled home 2 runs. Then Division made two outs, but they continued to rally with sophmore Bria Grubb singling home another run making it 5-3, as the excitement mounted. Chris Sanabria then walked, and then Dan Karcher scored his second hit of the inning, driving home another Division run making it 5-4, bef Garden City second baseman.

Anytime a team rallies like this, the school, the coaches, and the community are all very proud of this, but this rally was mounted against Garden City's Matt Petiton who is headed to top ranked university of North Carolina on a baseball scholarship. Matt is considered by many knowledgeable baseball people to be one of the top pitchers on Long Island which only makes this Dragon rally that much more impressive. Great job guys!

Sadly, in game three, the Dragons fell behind early and never got on the scoreboard, losing 7-0.

Despite this season ending loss, the coaches and everyone at school is very proud of the accomplishments of the entire team, and wish the seniors well on graduation, and can not wait for next season to begin with the Dragons having a good number of returning players from this year's squad.

Many of the players were selected by the coaches from the league for post season honors based on their performance during the season this year.
