Former DAHS Teacher Sentenced in Rape Case
Levittown resident Kyle Sabo, 26, a history teacher at a Division Avenue High School arrested on rape charges June 22, 2005 was sentenced by a Nassau County judge on June 9.

Charity Softball Game to Benefit Levittown Girl
The Nassau Sheriffs Department Emerald Society is taking on the NY Fire Department in a softball game on June 24 to raise funds for their charity of choice. The Sheriffs are playing for Kayla Aquilina of Levittown, a child suffering with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Kayla and her family have already raised almost $3,000 in the fight for a cure and hope this fundraiser will bring them far past Kayla's $5,000 goal.

Sports Skills Clinics to be Held Throughout July
Vincent D'Accordo is hosting four sports skills and jump training clinics on Fridays, July 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. at Levittown Memorial Education Center. Boys and girls ages 11 and up and in all sports are welcome to attend. At each two-hour session participants will receive instructions designed to increase their vertical jump, agility, quickness, endurance and skills. Proper warm up and stretching techniques and sport specific skills and practice techniques will also be included each week. All attendees will receive: Air Alert: The Complete Vertical Jump Program, which includes a training DVD, 43-page training manual, workout chart, advanced workout chart, measurement and progress charts - a $25 value. The sessions are designed and delivered by professional coaches and a certified personal trainer. Instructors include Vincent D'Accordo, Division II volleyball scholarship athlete, Assistant Coach Levittown high schools volleyball and MacArthur basketball and Bob Foulkes, former Holy Trinity High School track coach and level I USA track & field certified. The personal trainer is Janemarie Foulkes, SMART, Certified, AFFA, IFTA accredited, American Heart Association, CPR and AED certified. The fee is $50 per person for all four sessions.
