The varsity softball team defeated Lynbrook by the score of 3-0 in 10 innings. Colleen Cunningham scored on a passed ball in the top of the 10th inning to give Island Trees a 1-0 lead and Alysha Ciaramitaro added a two-run single later in the inning in a Class A first-round playoff game. Lauren Poplawski threw a four-hitter, walked none and struck out six for Island Trees.

The eighth grade baseball team defeated Wisdom Lane by a score of 4-1. Anthony Ciaramitaro picked up the win, allowing just one run and one hit, striking out five and walking three in five innings of work. George Balsamo contributed in a big way, going one for two with a double and a RBI, also pitching the last two innings, allowing no hits with just one walk and striking out two. The Bulldogs put forth a solid defensive effort in a close game to pick up the victory.

The seventh grade baseball team defeated Hicksville 9-4. Mike Manganiello had two hits and two RBIs. Joe Zelaskowski had one hit and two RBIs, Nick Mouzakes had one hit and one RBI and Peter Tucci has one hit and scored two runs. Chris Cutrone picked up the win.

The eighth grade softball team lost a tough game to an excellent Seaford team. The Lady Bulldogs put together one of its best defensive efforts of the season, turning two double plays to keep the game close. Great defensive plays were made by Jaclyn Carabott, Anne Badolato, Kathryn Bruno, Dana Colleluori and Jessica Beissel. The battery of Michelle Giordano and Samantha Wierzbicki worked together extremely well to keep the game close. The offensive play of the game came when Sylvana Rivera hit a two-run single to give Island Trees the early lead.

The Lady Dawgs do it again. The seventh grade Softball team defeated Woodland 6-4. Keri Koenig hit a home run in the second inning driving in two RBIs. At the top of the seventh we were losing 4-3 when Andrea Barbera hit a bomb out into deep centerfield, giving us the lead 5-4. Again, Keri smacked a homerun to give us a score of 6-4. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Whitney Dobladillo caught the ball getting our first out. Taylor Tedeschi struck out batter #2 and Stephanie Brown caught the last out to end the game.

The Boys' Middle School Lacrosse team played a tough game against Howitt Middle School. Goalie David Grecsek had 29 saves and midfielder Mike Guerrini put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard with a goal in the last seconds of the game. The whole team played well and once again showed the potential of a force to be reckoned with in the future.
