Levittown Kiwanis will host its 10th Annual Father's Day 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, June 18. The race begins at 8 a.m. in the parking lot behind Tri-County Flea Market. Awards will be given to the top three male/female runners in each designated age group. There will be refreshments for runners after the race and raffle prizes to be given out during the award ceremony. Terrific Kids is a Kiwanis-sponsored program that provides schools with a tool to reward students for special achievements that may otherwise go unnoticed. The Levittown Kiwanis Club has scheduled the following Terrific Kids Programs in each of the elementary and middle schools in the Levittown and Island Trees districts for the upcoming months: Tuesday, June 6 at 9:15 a.m. at Salk Middle School; Tuesday, June 6 at 2:15 p.m. at Northside School and Wednesday, June 14 at 9:10 a.m. at Gardiners Avenue School.
The Levittown Kiwanis Club is a very active part of our local community. Levittown Kiwanis hosts food drives, sends underprivileged children to camp, gives scholarships, sponsors community events and more. If you are interested in learning more about this philanthropic organization and the good works the club does come to a meeting. Guests are welcome to attend.
