The YOM Canine Walk for Youth was a fun and successful event and we wish to thank our supporters, donors and attendees for their help and generosity. Special thanks to Steve Haller of Minuteman Press in Levittown; Domenic Belcastro of Domenico's restaurant; Mr. and Mrs. Spielman; Bill and Pat Saunier of The Happy Canine Co., whose training expertise, demonstrations, obedience trials and agility trials were a great hit with all present; PetsMart of Levittown for donations for our goodie bags; Bide-A-Wee for coming to give out pet information and many give-a-ways, they also brought a wonderful "service dog;" Andrew Seely of L.I. Canine Clean-Up; International Kennel Club; Steve's Dog Grooming; Fred Emde of Fred's Deli for all the goodies; Dr. Gary Stein; Cheryl Rush and family; Janet Engelhardt for her donation and immense help with mailings and more; Jim Edmondson, whose presence and donation were invaluable; Raj Kapur for his help with the fliers and registrations and Levittown Fire Department for the loan of the PA system. We could not have done it without the great volunteers Todd Tufo, Eileen Ashley, Louise Cassano, Janet Englelhardt and Drew Conway.
The weather was the best and I thank the Lord for that, the walkers and their dogs were the greatest! The walk itself was wonderful and the scenery great at Wantagh Park. A great big thanks also to Pat Schroeder, manager of Wantagh Park she was so helpful and the "walk" area was especially pretty this year. Thanks to all participants and their special canine family members."
