Letter to the Editor

On April 4, Levittown residents will have a chance to vote on the Levittown Public Library's budget. A yes vote on Propositions 1 (the budget) and 3 (capital improvements) will benefit all the children and adults of our community.

The $26 increase for three years of each homeowner will be reflected by much needed improvements in lighting and efficient use of our space. Do you rent or buy videos or DVDs? Taking them out from the library will absorb the increase many times over.

Having an appealing area (part of the improvement plan) for our young adults will keep them off the streets; a concern of us all.

When people look for an area to move to, schools and libraries are what they consider.

The above is a partial list of how our area will benefit as well as add value to your home.

Shirley Briskie is the president of the Friends of the Levittown Library and Alvin Briskie is a member.
