The Island Trees Girls' Basketball team clinched the Conference 4 title by defeating North Shore 42-34. Sophomore Valerie Ahrens and seniors Samantha Modik and Sarah Hess led the stifling defense which held North Shore 20 points below their season average. Freshman Meghan Biondolillo and senior Katie Tolan led the offense as they have all season. Other members of the conference championship team include seniors Lauren Mason and Dominique Witteck, juniors Beth Hughes, Meaghan Davis, Catie Hollett and Jamie Ruiz and sophomores Angelika Paskins, Alysha Ciaramitaro and Kristen Walsh. With wins over North Shore and Sewanhaka, the Lady Dawgs are currently 16-0 and are the lone remaining undefeated team on Long Island. The Lady Dawgs are ranked #2 on Long Island and #9 in New York State.

The JV Boys Basketball team won their final game by the score of 68-41 and finished the season 16-1 overall and 12-0 in the league. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Frank Baglivo (11 points), Shawn Fenton (14 points), Justin Heisig (18 points), Ron Modik (13 points), Eric O'Reilly (2 points), John Howard (5 points), John Bruno (2 points), Tom Hart (2 points) and Andy Kahl had one point. Also contributing were Ryan Tolan, Dan Schulz, John Thearle, Bryan Valinoti, Jesse Matarese and Dylan Caragher.

The Girls 8th Grade Basketball team defeated Hicksville 31-28. The key to victory was strong rebounding by Kathryn Bruno, Anne Badolato, Jessica Beissel and Sam Malone and tremendous defensive pressure by Jackie Kupfer, Jessica Pierre-Tijero and Kaitlyn VanAlst. Michelle Giordano and Kathryn Bruno led the team in scoring.

The Girls' 7th Grade Basketball team played a great game in their victory against Hicksville. Some of the standouts from the game were Samantha Brand, Cory Scher, Elizabeth Flagler and Kaitlyn Interlandi.
