Mary C. Eginton, of Mattituck, died at San Simeon Nursing Home in Greenport on Feb. 2, 2006. She was 86 years old. She was born in Queens on Jan. 3, 1920 to Cono and Margaret (nee McShane) Brioli. She had been a secretary for International General Electric in New York City.
Formerly of Levittown, she had been a resident of Mattituck since 1976 where she was a communicant at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford W. in 1998. She leaves her son James of Coram; a brother Eugene Brioli of E. Northport; two sisters, Gloria McCabe of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Carol Canino of Cambria Heights; and two grandchildren, Tracey and James W. Jr.
Arrangements were made by the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home, Mattituck, where vigil prayers were conducted by Deacon Jack Bopp. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church by Father Peter Allen. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
Albert B. Schmitt, of Levittown, died on Feb. 7, 2006. He retired from Sterns Dept. Store in 1990. He was a member of the Levittown Community Church since 1956. Husband of Eda B. (nee Barbabino). Religious service Friday at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Theodore S. Grant officiating. Funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Levittown Community Church. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Bayshore.
